To test the Propero 4 against our S-Works Prevail 3 in the Win Tunnel, we placed our male road race mannequin, molded from 3D scans of Specialized riders, in a stationary set-up. From there, we ran a range of different yaw angles (wind angles) to capture the range a cyclist is likely to experience. Next, we feed the drag at each wind angle into our simulations to show how the helmet performs over realistic wind conditions on the road. Our time in the Win Tunnel validated that the Propero 4 is four watts faster than our S-Works Prevail 3, which adds up to 15 seconds faster over 40km, at an average speed of 45 kph. Ventilation Drawing inspiration from our world-renowned S-Works Prevail 3, ventilation was a focal point in our quest for a well-balanced helmet. Although the Prevail 3 boasts a unique design, we couldn't ignore its effective rear vent layout, which we incorporated into the Propero 4.
